I read the Babylon 5 and Heroes anonymous comics that I bought at the comic con. The B5 comics were reminiscent of the tv show. It's too bad they got cancelled with issue #11.

DC did an 11 issue series and later did a 3 issue mini series titled In Valen's Name. The artwork on the first 4 issues kind of sucks, but the story is good. The art is much better on later arcs.

I'm thinking that my next order will come in next Saturday. If not Saturday, then I'll have to wait till the following Tuesday because of Memorial Day.

I finished reading the XMen Phoenix Endsong and Space Ghost mini series. Both were pretty good. Now I'm all caught up on my regular comic books until my next shipment arrives.

There are only 5 issues, so if you're on issue 3 or 4, you're almost done. I really liked the artwork on the series. The story was okay. I really liked both the story and artwork on Space Ghost and they are coming out with another 6 issue series with the same team, so I'm happy about that.

I read a few manga titles last night

Eyeshield 21 Vol.1 - a football/comedy manga

Red River Vol. 5 - an historical romance/adventure manga about a girl transported back to the Hittite Empire in 1400 BC

Remote Vol. 5 - a mystery/crime manga about a detective who's partner is brilliant, but can't leave his house so he works remotely.

Happy Hustle High Vol. 1 - a high school/comedy/romance manga

Video Girl Ai Vol. 11 - a romance about a 'video girl' who only lives while her videotape is running. She started out as part of a dating service that provided dates for people who weren't likely to get them and has evolved since then. When her tape runs out, though, she's toast. Right now, she's got about a month left. It is a very good manga, but is not for kids due to the nudity, etc.

I'm planning on reading more manga tonight, including the 5 volume science fiction series Planetes and maybe the 3 volume Crest of the Stars series.

You sure need a lot of Ultimate X Men. Maybe you should just get the hardcovers, or do you prefer having the actual comics? I've got both in my collection because the hardcovers are pretty nice.

I kind of like having the originals too, but the hardcovers look really nice. I've got 1 1/2 book shelves with just comic book hardcovers (and a few trades). I'm thinking of expanding it a bit this summer with some of the ones in my basement. I've got all of the DC Archives on display, but only the more recent Marvel Masterworks. I've also got the Conan TPBs, Classic Star Wars TPBs, Sandman HCs, Usagi Yojimbo HCs, Zot HCs and all of the Ultimate line HCs on display.
