It's the DSL box, they call it a reuter here. ?
then can't they just swap the dsl box for a new one?

Yes they can but they have to show up to do it.
Theoretically they're coming tomorrow. I'm pretty angry at this point. It's really screwing up my life.
I've been patient but this is stretching it. it's been 15 days I think.

¡Hey Esteban! Porqué no lo haga usted viene aquí y fija mi dsl para mí. Tengo leche y galletas y le dejaré jugar los juegos video, antes de que vayamos al concierto Duff de Hilary.

well, that's Babelfish for you. But wouldn't it be payback to use it on Esteban and see him struggle to comprehend?

Of course, you might end up stuck going out with him... You could always ask him when his curfew is :D

No it's an hour drive away in the Capital. Believe me, if it were in Antigua I would be so in their faces.
Even if I do go there, it's still no guarantee. The wierd thing is it works from 6 a.m until 6 p.m. It's almost like they have me on office service. I can't figure it out.
Anyway, they " may" show up today.

Everyone I know that has DSL is having problems with it lately. Maybe it's just a conspiracy.. The dish didn't really run away with the spoon...
I hope they decide to help you out. My ISP fixes it when they feel like it's about time

My brother has dsl, but he hasn't mentioned any particular problems. I have a cable modem and I sometimes have to either unplug the modem for a bit and then plug it back in or restart my computer. It doesn't happen too often, but if I don't do that on occasion it just sort of freezes up and won't do anything internet related.

yes i have cable also and same thing happens to me at times but it's not really a big deal. last month there was an accident and a car smashed into my isp building. my isp was out for a couple days but that's pretty much it.
