The rent is about $90 more, and we are in the old suburbs of the city that was built in the 30's to 40's. It's a great old duplex that is actually part of the city now that Houston keeps growing out and out.

We decided to move when we came home from Jersey after Christmas and someone tried to break into our apartment. We were broken into two years ago and they took about $10,000 worth of our things. Including these two incidents against us, there has been 12 break ins, attempted break ins, or issues with cars (break ins, keying, tires slashed) in two years. It's an expensive place to live for the location, and it is supposed to be an upscale luxury apartment complex, but they let trash rent here and there are tons of problems. They can't keep good renters here.

We had to fight for a month to get our door replaced that was crowbarred to hell. You could see daylight all around it, and our heat was going straight out of it. We had to fight for everything here, for basic things that should have been no brainers. So we're leaving this place as fast as we can.

I got to break up a girlfight between 2nd and 3rd hour today. Both were girls that I have in class and that I like, but they started arguing and scrapping right after they rounded the corner into the classroom wing. I started walking down there when I saw them arguing and ran to break it up when hits were exchanged. It didn't last long and I ended up basically tackling one of the girls. Then I grabbed on to her while another teacher got the other girl. Kind of got the blood moving a bit.

I seriously doubt it. It was unintentional and just sort of happened as I separated them.

I signed up for Giganews so that I can download a whole bunch of tv shows off of usenet. I'm downloading Thunderstone right now (an Australian scifi show) and plan to download a few others later. I'll probably cancel the account after a month, but it will have been worth it. I signed up for the unlimited downloading plan so I can download as much as I want. I'll burn dvds so that I don't have to store it all on my computer when I'm done.
