I watched Big Momma's House 2 tonight. I'd heard bad reviews of it, but I actually liked the movie. It was fun, even if it wasn't overly complicated.

I watched a couple of movies tonight:

Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - I liked this movie. It was definitely better than the second Fast and Furious. Switching to Tokyo and a different style of racing was interesting.

Pink Panther - I expected this movie to be pretty stupid - and it was. It was also a lot funnier than I expected. Steve Martin was entertaining and I liked how the ending came together.

The second movie didn't have Vin Diesel either. It concentrated on Paul Walker's charcter. It wasn't bad, but wasn't as good as the first one or this one, in my opinion.

I watched School of Rock earlier tonight. I love that movie.

I also watched Click. That was a movie I decided not to watch in the theater, but I ended up liking it. It wasn't Sandler's best movie, but it was pretty good.

I've watched School of Rock about 8 times probably. Once in the theater and the rest on dvd or cable. It was on cable, but I decided to get out my dvd so I could skip commercials.

I went to see Dreamgirls tonight and the movie is excellent. The songs are great and you have really nice performances from Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Beyonce Knowles and Jennifer Hudson, not to mention the supporting cast. You can tell that the movie has its origins on the stage, but that isn't bad at all.

If you aren't familiar with the movie, it covers the rise from obscurity of The Dreams, a 60s girl group who begin as backup singers for Jimmy Early (Murphy) before eventually getting their own gig. I believe it is based loosely on The Supremes. There are tons of songs throughout the movie.

I went to see The Pursuit of Happyness today and I thought it was very good, but kind of a bit depressing too, even if he does succeed in the end. Nice performances from Will Smith and his son Jaden.
