Movies
Re: Movies
27 - The Water Horse - 7.5/10 - The true story of the Loch Ness Monster and the boy who raised it from an egg during World War II. I enjoyed this family picture and while it is fairly straightforward, the special effects are pretty good and the acting performances were solid.
Re: Movies
28 - Seeker: The Dark Is Rising - 5/10 - A very loose adaptation of the novel by Susan Cooper. The movie has met with pretty bad reviews, but I thought it was okay. It had the potential to be pretty good, but didn't live up to the potential. Fans of the novels probably will probably dislike the movie just for not being very faithful.

Re: Movies
I watched Sweeney Todd and Cloverfield today both were very good but i dont have a favorite between the two
Re: Movies
Cloverfield was pretty good for what it was. I saw it on the big screen, though. I have no desire to watch it on a little TV screen.
Re: Movies
29 - Iron Man - 9/10 - I wasn't really thrilled with the preview, so I went into the film with mixed expectations. Those were wiped away very early. Iron Man is filled with lots of humor, action and cool special effects. I enjoyed it from start to finish. Robert Downey, Jr. makes a nice Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow is adorable as Pepper Potts and Terrence Howard does a nice job as Jim Rhodes. Stan Lee also makes a humorous cameo in the film. I'm definitely hoping for a sequel in a couple of years.

Re: Movies
Another friend of mine wants to see it and has free passes for after it opens. I'll probably go see it again next week. I hope you get the chance to see it. It's very entertaining.Psychotic_Carp wrote:you bastard!!!

Re: Movies
Iron Man was incredible. Definitely the best Marvel movie, which I know isn't saying much but still.
Rusty, did you stay for after the credits? Holy shit.

Re: Movies
Stark came home to find his security/home computer was disabled and Nick Fury was in his living room to talk about the Avengers project.
Playing Nick Fury? Samuel L. Jackson.
