That's okay. It's pretty quiet around here, though I like having a place to update my movie and tv lists. I hope that you had a good birthday.

I've been doing okay. I play softball and tennis, watch movies, read books, and walk my new dog plus the occasional round of golf. That's about the extent of things so not much has changed over the past few years other than the new dog.

Thanks. It was definitely a shock. I was picking her up at the Royal Oak Amtrak station after she returned from a trip to Minnesota when she went into cardiac arrest. It's an experience that I don't care to repeat.

I've been doing fine, spending a lot of my time watching movies and tv shows plus reading a lot of books as usual. My 16 year old dog is hanging in there, but requires some special attention now and then so I'm holding off on any trips while he is still with me. The dog I got from my neighbor after she died fits right in and gets along well with my other dog. I finally got new neighbors last month - a family with 4 kids - and the man was a former student of mine around 17 years ago. Small world, eh.

Did you recognize him immediately? or did he recognize you first? I work with a guy and no matter where we went he would find someone he knew.... I started figuring out how small the world really is! :p

I thought he looked a bit familiar when I introduced myself, but I didn't recognize him. We only exchanged first names. I was talking with him the next day and mentioned where I taught and he told me that he went to that school. Once he told me his last name, I knew who he was. He told me that he had thought that I looked familiar, too. He was only at my school for a year or two, not the full four years.
